2008 Bridge Conference Information

The International Bridge Conference TM each year in June in Pittsburgh, PA attracts in excess of 1,000 professionals from around the world. In addition to traditional technical sessions that include select practical topics and current project presentations the conference conducts seminars, Special Interest Sessions, and a trade exhibition with over 100 exhibitors. Each year the IBC makes four major awards in recognition of those individuals and projects that are truly outstanding.

ASPIRE - The Concrete Bridge Magazine
ASPIRE is a quarterly magazine published by the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute (PCI) in cooperation with the associations of the National Concrete Bridge Council. The editorial content focuses on the latest technology and key issues in the Concrete Bridge Industry.

The National Precast Concrete Association (NPCA)
The National Precast Concrete Association is an international trade association representing the manufacturers of plant produced concrete products and the suppliers to the industry. NPCA provides members with education seminars, an annual industry trade show, monthly industry newsletters, a quarterly magazine targeted exclusively to the manufactured concrete products industry, technical/sales literature and a technical services "hotline.".


Precast / Prestressed Concrete Institute (PCI)
The Precast / Prestressed Concrete Institute is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering greater understanding and use of precast and prestressed concrete. It maintains a full staff of technical marketing specialists and has members from throughout the world.


The Portland Cement Association (PCA)
Where cement and concrete are concerned, so is the Portland Cement Association: in manufacturing, in raising the quality of construction, in improving our product and its uses, in contributing to a better environment.


The Canadian Prestressed Concrete Institute (CPCI)
The Canadian Prestressed Concrete Institute (CPCI) represents 28 prestressing plants located throughout Canada.

Associated Pennsylvania Constructors (APC)

The Transportation Construction Industry - Political Action Committee (TCI-PAC)
Rationale:
TCI-PAC is the unified voice of the transportation construction industries in Pennsylvania. It represents a broad array of interests including asphalt hot mix, aggregates, concrete, contractors, materials suppliers, equipment dealers, services purveyors and consultants.

Mission:
To support candidates for Governor and the State Legislature who are supportive of the needs of the transportation construction industries in Pennsylvania, including a well-funded highway program.

The TCI-PAC represents over 700 companies and more than 60,000 individuals doing business in Pennsylvania's Transportation Construction Industry.
