Since January 19, 1957 the Prestressed Concrete Association of Pennsylvania
(PCAP) has promoted the use, application, and technical development of prestressed
concrete. PCAP was the first regional marketing organization that advanced and marketed
prestressed concrete for bridge designs.
Over the years, there have been many technical improvements and refinements of standards
which the Association and its member companies have brought to the market.
As a result, Pennsylvania-produced prestressed concrete bridge products have also
been used by Departments of Transportation and contractors in Virginia, Maryland,
Delaware, and New Jersey – the central Atlantic region.
To reflect this new reality, the Prestressed Concrete Association of Pennsylvania
will now be operating as Central Atlantic Bridge Associates (CABA).
